  • She is enthusiastic about the topic and goes out of her way to help facilitate the students’ learning in the area.
  • She is interested in the students and responsive to questions. She went out of her way to clarify areas students struggled with.
  • Judith did a great job providing concrete examples of concepts. She made a great effort to make the material more applicable than just textbook reading.
  • I loved how she would talk about her own experience with patients and would bring a lot of real-life examples into our lectures. For me, that made it very easy to understand, and I felt engaged in the course as a result.

  • Judith was great when she spoke during class. She was engaging and refreshing. She kept the material to interesting and was short, concise but elaborated well when need be.
  • She is very knowledgeable about the material and was always open to help.
  • Judith did a great job lecturing for a few of the classes. She had very interesting insights to the topics we covered.
  • Judith only taught the lecture twice, but both times were very interesting. She used many stories and anecdotes to illustrate a point that helped me remember information for the exams.
  • She was an engaging lecturer and clear in her teaching. Her stories about her practice were helpful for conceptualizing the course material as well.
  • She was very engaging and her personal anecdotes were conducive to my understanding of certain topics. They provided further explanation and sometimes they were really fun. I was able to pay attention for the entire 1hr 15min lecture, and I never once lost interest. Her voice was loud and clear and she was very engaging.
  • She was able to make her lectures more interesting by adding very personal examples and do more than just read powerpoints.
  • She knows her stuff. Unlike most TAs she has a lot more experience and was able to provide information in a very interesting way with experience she has had.
  • You are very good about being frank with us about the realities of these subjects. You were good about treating difficult material very openly and clearly, which made it less awkward than it could have been.
  • Ms. Biesen was also very organized in her lectures and always seemed to really understand the material even though she was just guest lecturing. She seemed very engaged with the class and the material. I also liked her organized PowerPoints and use of media.
